I’ve been really stoked about Tim’s songs for a couple years now and I’m really glad they’re being shared with the world. Check out the new Plain White T’s single that Tim sings: Rhythm of Love.

Today, Taylor made vegan Mac n cheese with daiya cheese (tapioca based), quorn “chicken” and broccoli. Mmmmm.

When ad agencies were trying to win the Yamaha account most of them probably took traditional routes. Instead, Chiat/Day ran an ad in a national trade publication that read “Chiat/Day wants to join a motorcycle gang.” with a photo of agency people—including a shirtless Lee Clow, around a Yamaha motorcycle. The ad also promised that if Yamaha’s sales didn’t increase, the agency would refund a portion of its media commissions. Chiat/Day won Yamaha and held it for more than a decade. Brilliant.
I’ve looked all over the internet for this ad. I couldn’t find it, so I took a photo of it when I was watching Art & Copy.

A mini rainbow that appeared behind my desk chair yesterday. I too wish it was a double rainbow.

CHOMP. A design-minded kitchen appliance prototype that bills itself as a toaster, a sandwich maker, and a grill in one. I would get this for the WCST office if it came out.

D1 by PUBLIC. I love the vibe of the company and the simplicity of the bikes.
Fun Fact: PUBLIC was started by Rob Forbes (founder of Design Within Reach)

I never realized how much of an impact weathermen can have on a local economy until the other night. The local weather man said it was going to thunderstorm all day on these islands off of Florida. That night, we took the boat to dinner at a nearby island (Cabbage Key) because it was “supposed to” rain every day but it didn’t rain once, so we took our chances. The restaurant was completely empty due to everyone being scared of getting caught in the rain that never came.
This is a little video I shot of this huge cloud that was coming right at us in Captiva, FL. You guessed it, it never rained that night.
